The Company

A private holding company for businesses, property and intellectual property.

RDT Holdings is a private holding company that sits above the operating businesses, real estate, intellectual property and other private assets of its owners. It also undertakes acquisitions on behalf of private individuals. It is the single legal home through which the principals own what they intend to keep.

The company is wholly owned by its principals and does not manage outside capital. It does not raise funds, accept clients or run mandates. Its purpose is to provide a stable, considered structure for the assets it holds, and to allow them to be managed across generations rather than financial years.

Day to day work is carried out by a small team that knows each holding directly. The aim is to be a reliable owner across cycles, not a frequent trader of positions.

Background

A quiet structure for long held assets.

RDT Holdings was established to give its principals a single, considered home for what they own. The company sits above the operating businesses, properties, intellectual property and private assets it controls, and provides the ownership, governance and financial discipline that hold them together.

The company has no outside investors and is not for sale. Its time horizon is measured in generations rather than quarters, and its activities are guided by what the holdings themselves need, not by external mandates or fundraising cycles.

Principles

How the company is run.

  1. Ownership over trading

Assets are acquired with the intention of holding them. Sales happen only when the case for continued ownership no longer holds.

  2. Conservative balance sheet

Leverage is used carefully and at the holding level, sized so that no single holding determines the health of the whole.

  3. Decisions in private

The company does not market itself, does not comment on holdings, and conducts its affairs in writing rather than in public.

Governance

A small group, clearly responsible.

Day to day decisions are made by a small executive team that reports to the company's owners. Each holding is overseen by people with direct knowledge of it. Material decisions, including acquisitions, disposals and changes to capital structure, are taken at board level and recorded.
